Vida! Health & Wellness program serves as the first Gasol Foundation-sponsored U.S. health and wellness enrichment program and exists as part of a larger global outreach campaign under the “Zero ChildhoodObesity” motto.
Vida! is a multidisciplinary program aimed at providing children and adults with the tools necessary to find balance with regards to the 4 pillars of health, and how to effectively implement these pillars in their daily lives. Through the promotion of sports and physical activity, healthy eating, duration and quality of sleep and the emotional well-being of young people and their families, we can reduce childhood obesity rates.

We believe that every child has the right to live a healthy life full of opportunities. Let’s empower them! Our community-based programs and activities in Los Angeles serve as a learning tool to be used to inspire a sustainable and healthy change with at-risk families.
Vida! Health & Wellness has been working in partnership with the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools and Parent College since 2014. Together, we brought health & wellness programming to families in South LA, Watts, and Boyle Heights. We are currently serving 175 families through our programming. In fact, we have reached over 1.000 to date!
The 4 Pillars of Health:
Physical Activity– When you are regularly active and apply other healthy lifestyle behaviors in your daily life, you are also setting a positive example for others to follow. Let’s be healthy role models to for our children!
Healthy Eating– Our goal is to make healthy foods and behaviors affordable and available to all neighborhoods. Together, we must support healthy food environments where children and adults can learn how to make healthier food choices!
Sleep Time and Quality– Irregular bedtimes and insufficient sleep patterns at a young age may result in weight gain. We help families prioritize beneficial sleeping routines!
Emotional Well-Being– Maintaining good emotional health influences how you think, feel, and behave and contributes to the overall growth and development of children.
