On March 1st, the Gasol Foundation participated in the fourth edition of the Barcelona Magic Line, a charity walk organized by San Juan de Dios which raises funds for its programs that assist those in need. On this walk, two teams from the Gasol Foundation walked 20 kilometers from Vallvidrera to the finish line at Cathedral Square in Barcelona.
BML teams had two objectives, the physical challenge of long distance walking and the charitable challenge of mobilizing their family and friends to raise funds for San Juan de Dios social work. This year the BML had 10.000 participants divided among more than 700 registered teams.
Also, in this edition more than 80 children and adults from l’Esport Suma program walked 10 kilometers showing that “no one gets left behind”. Participating in the BML was a great time to meet people from other places and to show solidarity for those less fortunate. The Casal dels Infants and the Gasol Foundation collaborate in the l’Esport Suma program in Badalona because they believe sports can be a tool to teach healthy habits and values to children and families. The Casal Infants and the Gasol Foundation are convinced that “Sports Adds!”
If you could not come to the BML 2015 and want to help the Gasol Foundation teams meet their goals, you can make a donation until March 31, 2015 at http://www.barcelonamagicline.org/es/donar/411.
All funds raised will go directly to San Juan de Dios social work.
