On Monday September 8th, the Gasol Foundation launched eBay auctions for Marc and Pau’s game-used sneakers from the 2014 FIBA World Cup, giving fans the opportunity to own a unique piece of sporting memorabilia while raising money for a great cause!

People all over the world were able to bid on the shoes that Pau and Marc wore during the tournament and fans were quick to place their bids on the sneakers. Combined, Marc and Pau raised 1270 Euros ($1600) from the 10-day auction.

“We would like to give opportunities to many kids through the auction of our sport shoes,” Pau and Marc commented.

The proceeds from the auction will go to the program ‘Esport Suma’ carried out with a local organization called Casal dels Infants in Barcelona (Spain) which epitomizes the Gasol Foundation’s focus of promoting healthy habits, physical education and sports practice between kids and teenagers at risk.

Thank you to all that participated and for helping support the organization!
